Welcome to Safe Independent Transitional Living

At Safe Independent Transitional Living, we provide safe, affordable, residential-style transitional housing for adults who need temporary housing and supportive resources while working toward a more stable future. Our mission is to help address homelessness in Sacramento County by offering a respectful, structured environment where individuals can regain stability, rebuild confidence, and take meaningful steps toward independence.

Our housing is designed to be temporary, with the goal of helping residents get back on their feet and transition into permanent housing. We provide affordable shared and private housing in a supportive community that encourages personal growth, accountability, and self-sufficiency, helping each resident build a strong foundation for long-term success.

Transitional housing provides temporary, stable housing for individuals who are working toward permanent housing and greater independence. It offers a safe living environment along with access to community resources that can help residents achieve their personal, employment, and housing goals.

Eligibility varies based on room availability and program requirements. In general, applicants should be able to live independently, follow house rules, and demonstrate a willingness to work toward stable housing. We welcome individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including those receiving employment income, SSI/SSDI, veterans’ benefits, or approved housing assistance.

Residents may stay for up to 24 months, depending on their individual needs, program eligibility, and continued compliance with house guidelines.

Monthly rent ranges from $850 to $1,200, depending on the room size and whether you choose a private or shared room. Utilities are included in the monthly rent.
